THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD AT ANYTHING IN STAINED GLASS IN FREDERICK, MD. They handle all sign ups and wait list.
March 28, 29 & 30, Friday and Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Sunday 10 am – noon
WELCOME SPRING!!
Create a beautiful mosaic flower or bouquet in a stained glass mosaic. Working from photographs or master paintings, students learn the nuances of working in stained glass and cutting techniques especially suited for this subject matter. Covered in the class lecture are the principles of color, tone, perspective, and cutting techniques.
The instructor offers various floral images with our timeframe in mind. Students are welcome to provide their own inspiring art. However, the instructor must receive it 2 weeks in advance so the image can be scaled and properly prepared for use in the workshop.
There is a separate $45 supply fee payable directly to the instructor, which includes your properly prepared substrate, scaled images, design and transfer materials, and grout. Artworks are for interior display and measure 12” x 12” or 11” x 14”. Students provide their own stained glass and Weldbond adhesive. Students can expect a great deal of personal instruction and guidance and no question will go unanswered. The rich selection of materials offered at Anything in Stained Glass will be available throughout the workshop. Students also have access to ATISG scrap bins (yummy!).
If you own mosaic tools, please bring. ATISG will loan tools as needed, but your tools have a memory!
Some stained glass or mosaic experience is helpful, but not required. This workshop is for 3 consecutive days, and Sunday is a short day for finishing.
