This will be our third workshop at this wonderfully quirky venue. The Progress Club offers a spacious, comfortable setting with excellent lighting, plenty of free parking, and easy access to restaurants and local hotels for those traveling from out of town.
Previous workshops have explored immersive smalti techniques, mosaic assemblage, and tapestry mosaics. Now it’s your turn to help shape what’s next.
What would you like to learn during a two-day workshop?
I enjoy designing workshops that welcome artists of all experience levels, although a basic familiarity with stained glass or mosaic terminology is helpful.
Because of the two-day format, I generally prefer projects that can be completed without grouting during class. If necessary, however, projects may be designed for you to grout at home.
Browse the gallery below the featured image to see work from past workshops—it may spark ideas for future classes. Tapestries, assemblage (Faces), Tempered Glass, Tiny Treasures. We can play with colored mortar beds, unconventional materials, or repeat some favorites.
