Exploring Mosaics in Glass
About Instructor

This workshop is held at Anything in Stained Glass, 5104 Pegasus Ct, Frederick, MD 21704 (800) 462-1209
Designed exclusively for Anything in Stained Glass, this comprehensive workshop offers a strong foundation for constructing decorative art mosaics using stained glass. New students can expect to gain a broad understanding of mosaic making, including various mosaic styles and contemporary trends. For returning students, or folks with some mosaic experience, this is an opportunity for you to take your work to a new level, master your materials, and benefit from being in the company of others intrigued by mosaic art. Those of you who know Bonnie are keenly aware of her dedication to her students and the challenges she puts in front of you.
The instructor will provide patterns and photographs for students to choose from, with the WORKSHOP TIME FRAME IN MIND. Students may bring their own designs, but the instructor URGES you to show her in advance for feedback and preparation tips. Students are responsible for bringing patterns to scale. Our substrates will be 10” x 10” or 8” x 12”, or comparable.
Separate supply ee covers substrate, design, and transfer materials, tool loan as needed, and grout. Students provide stained glass and Weldbond adhesive. ATISG store is open throughout the workshop for your convenience and access to their scrap glass at no charge (yummy).
Students are responsible for providing the following, all available a ATISG if you do not own:
- Stained glass for your project
- WeldBond glue
- Good quality glass cutting tools (scorer and running plier)
- Mosaic wheel nipper*
